It’s A Ghost Hunt In A Preview Of The Next ‘Naomi’

Naomi is taking off the next few weeks to avoid clashing with the Olympics. But when it returns, Naomi (Kaci Walfall) and her friends go on a ghost hunt. Of course, every extracurricular activity has a secondary goal for this would-be Scooby gang, and we imagine it has something to do with that space ship Naomi and Annabelle (Mary-Charles Jones) find at the end of the promo. Will it help Naomi solve some of her issues or prove someone else is an alien?
As readers of the comic book, we have to admit the apparent re-framing of Greg (Barry Watson) as a human is quite strange. Granted, his sudden animosity toward Dee (Alexander Wraith) during dinner leaves the possibility that he may be well aware of Thanagarians and holds an old grudge from the time they went to war with Rann. Last week, we suggested a third alien world would be too much for viewers, but considering how it leapt head first into the Multiverse this week, Rann is hardly the strangest thing to add to the show.
Reading the book also leads to other mysteries, like the behavior of both Akira (Stephanie March) and Zumbado (Cranston Johnson). They’re so different from their comic counterparts even if they echo the same roles. It will be interesting to see if this Zumbado really did ruin Earth-29 or if, perhaps, he is also part of the older generation protecting Naomi from … well, whatever is out to get her.
Naomi returns February 22nd on The CW.
