Roxane Gay And Ming Doyle’s ‘The Banks’ To Become A Television Series

by Erik Amaya

Roxane Gay and Ming Doyle‘s The Banks is starting the road to television.

Deadline reports the project is part of the deal between New Regency and TKO Studios and will see Gay writing. The series tells the tale of the Banks family, the most successful thieves in Chicago. But when a big heist takes the life of a loved one, they must band together for the sake of vengeance.

Gay is the author of the books Ayiti, An Untamed State, the New York Times bestselling Bad Feminist, the nationally bestselling Difficult Women, and the New York Times bestselling Hunger. She is also the author of World of Wakanda for Marvel. Doyle’s credits include Outlaw Territory, Mystery In Space, and The Kitchen.

As with all newly announced film and TV projects, it is unclear when or where The Banks will air (or stream for that matter). Considering the wildly variable development times, it is possible it may be years before the series makes its way to screens.
