‘Splatoon 3’ Shows Off Salmon Run Co-Op, Releasing This Summer

Nintendo announced Splatoon 3 in a Direct last year. Now, they’re confirming the existence of a co-op story campaign in Splatoon 3: Salmon Run – Next Wave. In a trailer set to some incredibly bizarre music, Nintendo unveils a co-op stage where the Inklings battle against the Salmonids. They introduce new Salmonid enemies and weapons, all while the Inklings try to win at the “Egg Throw” game mode.
Most curious about this trailer is that there’s still somehow not a release date attached to the game. The title is scheduled to come out sometime in the summer, which likely pegs it as a July or an August release.
