‘Superman & Lois’ Season Finale Delayed One Week As CW Revises Its Finale Schedule

by Erik Amaya

Superman & Lois is ending its current season one week later than originally planned.

The CW announced a revised calendar of the upcoming season and series finales in June. Chief among them for our purposes is the Season 2 finale of Superman & Lois on June 28th. The episode was originally meant to air on the 21st, but it seems COVID-related pipeline issues delayed post-production on the last five episodes. The series is currently on a brief hiatus and returns on May 31st.

The Flash remains on track to conclude Season 8 on June 29th while the previously announced season finales of Charmed and Legacies will serve as series finales following the cancellation of both programs earlier in May. Walker and Supernatural spinoffs will take their place in the Fall. Superman & Lois and The Flash are moving to the mid-season leaving only the third year of Stargirl to hold the superhero line on The CW in October. Spring 2023 will also bring the debut of Gotham Knights, a series that will hopefully keep the DC Comics logo on the network for some time to come.
