We showed you the variant covers for it back in April, gave you a preview of the previous series, The Veil, Torn Asunder, back in January, and covered the Ales Kot/Piotr Kowalski series extensively, but there’s now more details and interior art available for the new Bloodborne: Lady Of The Lanterns series by Cullen Bunn and Piotr Kowalski.

In Bloodborne: The Lady of the Lanterns series, we find that new hunters have taken to the streets to fight against the cruel and unusual epidemic that has gripped the city.

As they say in the PR for this one…

Enter the city of Yharnam through the eyes of its citizens, when new hunters take to the streets to fight against the cruel and unusual epidemic that has gripped the city. in the black of the night, families and faith will be tested…

(I’m going with definitely don’t open the door)

Writer Cullen Bunn had this to say about the new series:

“This is one of those series that I just felt like I was the perfect person to write. I felt like I could do something a little different and unexpected. I’m thrilled to have the chance. It really is an honor to build this story for Bloodborne fans, to expand a world so many love.

Bloodborne is, of course, a story of hunters as much as illuminating different aspects of it. Players create unique hunters, equip them with wild equipment and weapons, and embark to face the Scourge. With this tale, I wanted to introduce several hunters, all working alone, for the most part, but coming together to face a greater threat. So, we have the opportunity to see the dangers of Yharnam from several different points of view. I wasn’t interested in deconstructing or changing the world and story of Bloodborne as much as illuminating different aspects of it.”
