Preview: ‘Bunny Vs Monkey: Rise Of The Maniacal Badger’ – Jamie Smart’s BVM Brings The All-New, Never Before Reprinted Laughs Galore!

by Richard Bruton

C’mon, by now surely you’re all in with Jamie Smart and his wonderfully silly, fabulously funny Bunny Vs Monkey series? Well, rejoice because here’s an all-new volume!

Yes, it’s Bunny Vs Monkey Book 5: Rise of the Maniacal Badger, the latest digest format BVM book to be released by David Fickling Books and The Phoenix. And this one is the first one to be fully made up of comics which have never before been published in book form.

Collecting Jamie’s wonderfully off-the-wall and perpetually hilarious series from The Phoenix Comic (which of course you’re all subscribing to, right?) this volume introduces The Maniacal Badger to the peace and tranquillity (oh if only, it’s all poor Bunny wishes for).

It is, as with all of the Bunny Vs Monkey series, required reading for you, for your children, for your friends, for your family, for the random people you meet on the street… well, maybe not random people you meet on the street but you get the idea.

Oh, and if you have kids, make sure that their schools’ library has them all in stock – and if not, well I reckon you and your kids should strike outside the school until they do.

Of course, even though it’s all full of plenty of Maniacal Badger action, like this…

… that’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of chances to see all our old familiar favourites from the wood, whether that’s Bunny, Monkey, Skunky, Ai, Action Beaver, Weenie, or the wonderfully dumb Pig and his love of all things cheese, cheese, cheese, Cheese, CHEESE!!!!!!

Farts and cheese gags… just perfect really.

(Previous BvM reviews can be found here, here, here, and here. Although let’s just go with riotously funny and fabulously silly books you should be reading and have done with it.)

Okay, enough already. You want to see a preview of the book, so here it is. We re-join our woodland pals after they ended up in Skunky’s cocoonator. It’s now three months later…

But where does the Maniacal Badger come into it all… well…
