Dan Mora Creates Interconnecting Covers Celebrating ‘The Dawn Of The DCU’
by Olly MacNamee
Reeling out of the conclusion to Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths this December, Dan Mora has produced four interconnecting covers to mark the end of another crisis and the birth of a new chapter in story of the DCU.

The Great Darkness has been defeated but the final war is just beginning. The remaining heroes must take on Deathstroke’s Dark Army to end everything once and for all.
All will kick off following Joshua Williamson and Daniel Sampere’s Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 on December 20th.
But, Williamson offers up some light after so much darkness:
“It’s always darkest before the dawn…and now we’re there. A new dawn of the DC Universe. This whole event started with death, so here we end with life. Our epic last issue shows why the DC Universe is at its best when it’s adding and growing the mythology. From the start we’ve said this series was a love letter to the DC Universe and the big events, and readers will see that with this issue. Daniel and I put a lot of love into every page of this story. It’s been one of the most rewarding and intense projects we’ve ever been a part of. And here in the end we launch the DCU into a new exciting direction!”

Sampere added:
“This issue represents the culmination of the most exciting and important project I’ve ever been involved in. Fans will find an epic, shocking and heartfelt finale. This is going to be a blast and DC fans shouldn’t miss it!”

And so, out of the darkness comes the light and Dawn of the DCU #1 which will features these superb Mora covers. Or at least I think that’s what the DC Comics’ PR is suggesting. It’s none too clear other than the reveal of these covers plus variant covers for the series finale, Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #7.
