‘Octopath Traveler II’ Launches February 23rd

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Square-Enix revealed they’ve somehow discovered an infinite supply of game dev talent when they announced Octopath Traveler II.  The company has been on a truly dizzying pace of releases in 2022, and things don’t look to be letting up any time soon.

With Octopath Traveler II, Square looks to take fans to an entirely new land and introduce eight new characters, each with their own story to tell. But new characters aren’t the only thing coming to the game, as Octopath Traveler II will feature a day/night cycle, with the characters changing Path Actions based on whether it’s day or night. Most importantly though, according to Square-Enix’s news page, the characters will now interact more on their journey together. This will hopefully solve the biggest problem people had with the original game of each story being too isolated.

Octopath Traveler II is coming to Nintendo Switch, but also PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, along with PC via Steam.
