‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ Delivers Best Episode Yet

It seems She-Hulk: Attorney At Law has delivered it’s best episode yet. It has absolutely established itself as a show with a tone far different than any other in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s positioned itself as a comedy first with action and superheroing second. This was apparent with the last two episodes which were, basically, sitcom level plots. This is all changed with this week’s episode, though. It introduced Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) first proper MCU appearance. At the same time, the episode still managed to give a feel of classic MCU while staying in line with the comedic tone She-Hulk as established thus far.

The episode focused on the introduction of Leap-Frog (Brandon Stanley), a character pretty much based on the comic book character Frogman. After a suit malfunction, he sues Luke (Griffin Matthews), who designs Jen’s (Tatiana Maslany) outfits. Of course, Luke is represented by Matt Murdock, who instantly finds an affection for Jennifer Walters. The main action stems from the fact that Leap-Frog decided to kidnap Luke into making him a new costume, forcing She-Hulk and Daredevil to team up and rescue the designer.

This episode worked on just so many levels. It was funny, it allowed Jen to be her regular character, and after already having multiple appearances as Daredevil, Cox returns to the role in spectacular fashion. Their chemistry on screen was amazing and the two of them worked very well together, which hopefully is an indicator that they will reunite in future MCU installments.

Then, after the main storyline concluded, the show led into another involving the group that’s been after Jen since the beginning. They ruined her big night, causing her to “Hulk” out in front of a crowd. The episode ended on a great cliffhanger that, hopefully, will lead to an excellent finale to round out this truly unique MCU series.
