Marvel & Disney Team For New ‘Disney 100 Years Of Wonder’ Variant Covers

by Tony Thornley

It was bound to happen eventually and what better time than the Walt Disney Company’s centennial?

Throughout the Walt Disney Company next year, the various divisions will be celebrating Disney 100 Years of Wonder, celebrating the company’s founding on October 16, 1923. For Marvel Comics, that means a series of twelve variant covers featuring Disney’s oldest and most famous characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy as Marvel’s greatest heroes, What If…? Style. Each of the 12 covers will also be released in color and black and white versions!

The first three revealed covers show the Fab Five as the original Avengers — in an homage to Avengers #4 — a new twist on Fantastic Four #1 with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy, and a much more … Goofy version of the Incredible Hulk. More will be revealed as the year goes on.  The variant covers will be found on select upcoming issues of Amazing Spider-Man starting with Amazing Spider-Man #17 in January.

Check out all three covers revealed today in the slideshow, and pick up the first one on Amazing Spider-Man #17 on January 11, 2023!
