The end of Zeb Wells & John Romita Jr.’s first year of Amazing Spider-Man is coming up quickly, and that anniversary is culminating in the most shocking Spidey story in years.
As revealed by Marvel, Amazing Spider-Man #25 & #26 will be the most shocking Spidey story in decades. Coming hot off the flashback arc that will be filling in the gap between volumes of Amazing Spider-Man, the revealed covers seem to be more than what you see at first glance. Some eagle-eyed fans have already noticed that one of Romita’s covers homages the cover of the infamous Amazing Spider-Man #121- the Night Gwen Stacy Died.
We could speculate about what that means all day, but we’ll see the story in a few short months.
