First Look – Oni Press Announces ‘Tiny Fox And Great Boar: Dawn’ By Berenika Kolomycka

The third and final graphic novel in the delightful early reader series Tiny Fox and Great Boar will be published by Oni Press on April 5th, 2023.

Inside Book Three: Dawn, you can expect more of the charming and beautifully done adventures of Berenika Kolomycka’s unusual companions and friends, a Tiny Fox and a Great Boar, with Dawn seeing their friendship endure new challenges.

Kolomycka is a Polish comics author, sketch artist, sculptor, and graphic artist. She’s been published in both Polish and foreign magazines and Tiny Fox and Great Boar is her first solo project.

“Tiny Fox and Great Boar have spent so much of their time together playing, exploring, and adventuring, from beautiful forests all the way to the enchanting seaside. What joyous times they have had! When they set their sights on the marshy wetlands, they soon meet a young mayfly and become quick friends. But when their time with the mayfly is unexpectedly cut short, Fox and Boar experience true sadness from missing their dear friend. The sadness feels too much for Fox to bear, but luckily he has Boar by his side to teach him how to be brave and remain hopeful for the adventures ahead.”

As you can surely see from the quick preview below, it’s an absolute adorable delight, full of bright and expressive watercolour work from Kolomycka, as we follow two friends through happy and sad times, learning, exploring, enjoying. It’s a beautiful book for young and old alike.
