Bandai-Namco Announces A New Entry In The ‘DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi’ Series
by Sage Ashford
During Bandai-Namco’s Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, the developer announced a new entry in the classic Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series. One of the classic arena fighter franchises, the Budokai Tenkaichi series was meant to be an evolution of the popular Budokai series that brought a competent DBZ fighting game to the West for the first time ever.
The series was known for its accuracy to the anime, right down a story mode that required players to win fights exactly the way they were won in the anime. It was also known for its potential five-on-five battles and the ability to watch entire matches play out using the AI. The first entry in the series since the 2007 release Budokai Tenkaichi 3, no other information was announced about the game, meaning fans wondering about platforms or a release date will have to wait a bit longer.
