Four issues of eldritch terrors meeting the Smith family come to a head in issue 4. It’s time to venture into the lore of all things Lovecraft once more and for a final time as it’s time to get up close and personal with Cthulhu…

Here you go, the Oni Press PR blurb…

“It’s R’yleh happening! In the final confrontation of the Smith-Sanchez Lovecraftian horror saga, family turns on family, and the battle for pop culture relevance is waged between Rick and Cthulhu—with devastating stakes.

Morty embraces his eldritch identity and finds comfort in the supportive arms of his adoptive old-god father. Summer will mete out divine retribution in the name of Azathoth. Rick has lost ground at home against the Color Out of Space, and must abandon his daughter to fight this evil at its source: Cthulhu.”

Just as you’d expect, it’s full of stupid, out-and-out weird, and packed with all things Lovecraftian – Jim Zub and Troy Little might be going for the silly, but they’re going for a damn well researched silly.

Yes, this one has it all, The Elder Gods, The Great Old Ones, Azathoth, Nyarlathotep, Dagon, Summer versus Morty Dagon, and the final battle between Rick and Cthulhu – all that Lovecraftian terror comes to an end.

Or, as Rick puts it…

Now then, time one last time to venture into Lovecraft county with a little preview, followed by a look at the three covers for the issue…
