Square-Enix Introduces Everyone To Final Fantasy XVI’s “World Of Valisthea”

During PAX East 2023, Square-Enix decided to show a bit more of Final Fantasy XVI than just its combat; releasing a new trailer entitled “World of Valisthea.” The trailer is exactly what it sounds like, showing Clive and his fellow party members exploring a number of different landscapes that make up the world of Valisthea.
This comes after a recent blowout that was much more combat-focused, causing fans to question if Final Fantasy XVI was leaving behind its exploration roots for fast-paced combat in linear environments. Thankfully, this doesn’t seem to be the case, with Clive visiting quite a few different areas in a short amount of time.
The company also showed off plenty of live gameplay during their PAX East 2023 panel, featuring a number of abilities for the Eikons alongside exploration of the environments and towns.
Final Fantasy XVI launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 22nd.
