Capcom Announces A Demo For “Street Fighter 6” And Reveals The First Year Of DLC Characters
by Sage Ashford
During Capcom’s latest Street Fighter VI stream, the developer revealed tons of information about the game’s alternate modes, including a glimpse at the World Tour mode and the Avatar Battle mode.
In World Tour, players will be free to create their own custom character, traveling to different locations around the world, where they’ll run into different legendary Masters. Each Master will be able to teach the player their special moves, allowing the player to greater customize their character. World Tour will also feature a strong RPG element, allowing players to recover health during battles by eating items, or even causing buffs and debuffs. Meanwhile, leveling up will allow players to customize their character with additional skills.
Elsewhere, Avatar Battle will let players jump into the Battle Hub with their customized Avatar and challenge other players in combat.
Capcom also revealed the first four characters being added to the game across the first year of DLC. Street Fighter V alumni Rashid and Ed, alongside new character A.K.I. and classic character Akuma will all be coming to the title. Of course, all these characters were already leaked, but it’s nice to know when they’re coming.
The biggest news of all though is that users of both PlayStation consoles can try out a new demo for the game, available now. Meanwhile, other platforms will get their shot at the demo on April 26th.
