Marc Hempel – My circa 1998 cover art for the never created, never published, eighth issue of my humor comic Tug & Buster (Art & Soul Comics). This was intended to be an issue of “short shorts” – i.e., several comic strips of between one and a few pages in length (the cover art is a visual pun). While an eighth issue did indeed appear, it was as a new number one published by Image Comics. Media is watercolor and gouache for the female figure; India ink for the comic strip art (images combined in Photoshop).
