‘Babylon 5: The Road Home’ Trailer Gets Unstuck In Time
by Erik Amaya
In 2260, Captain John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) became unstuck in time during an operation to steal Earthforce space station Babylon 4 from its place in 2254 (long story). And in this trailer for Babylon 5: The Road Home, Sheridan once again gets unstuck. This time, though, the process takes him to alternate realities and across the full history of creator J. Michael Straczynski‘s space epic. What does the galaxy look like when Sheridan and his friends lost the war against the Shadows? And what will he have to do to find the way home?
The upcoming animated film reunites Boxleitner and many of the surviving members of the TV show cast. Sadly, a surprising number of the show’s actors — including Mira Furlan, Andreas Katsulas, Richard Biggs, and Jerry Doyle — have passed since Babylon 5 ended its run. With the agreement of the cast still with us, Straczynski recast the roles, with Biggs’ Dr. Stephen Franklin, Katsulas’s Citizen G’Kar, Furlan’s Delenn, and Tim Choate‘s Zathras all making appearances in the trailer with new voice actors. And despite the fact some of the actors have passed beyond the veil, it is thrilling to see Babylon 5 rise once more.
Babylon 5: The Road Home comes to disc formats on August 15th.
