Xbox’s ‘Fable’ Looks To Turn Players Into Giant Killers

During the Xbox Games Showcase, developer Playground Games showed off another glimpse at their vision of the classic Xbox franchise, Fable. Though only two minutes long, the trailer shows the new game aims to retain a sense of humor while still being set within the fantastical world of Albion. It focuses on a giant talking about his love of vegetables while deriding the “wafty” nature of heroes, only to end in a confrontation between the giant and the hero.
Though most of the trailer is done with in-engine cutscenes, eagle-eyed viewers will notice several snippets of what appear to be actual gameplay. Even the fight scene at the end seems to have some legitimate moments of combat in what looks like a major set piece moment.
Fable will launch for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
