‘Dungeons And Drag Queens’ Debuts June 28th On Dropout’s ‘Dimension 20’

by Anton Kromoff

Welcome to the table,

I support the LGBTQA+ community.

I said what I said. You see, when I was a kid, it was the Friends of Dorothy who took me in and made me feel safe. As a little disabled nerd in a world of religious extremists, racists, and bullies, I seemed to have it all together. But for the most part, I was masking calm to keep the various predators in my day-to-day life from pouncing on any sign of weakness and ripping me to shreds in one way or another.

One of the most magical forms of entertainment that this group of friends introduced me to was Drag. The pageantry, the performances, the music, the glitter it was all fantastic and fun and life-affirming. I’ve been to very few bad drag shows in my life and the only ones in memory that ended up being a cringy experience were ones that involved bad actors who made the scene awkward.

So when news of Dropout‘s new original Dimension 20 show hit my inbox, it had my full attention.

Dungeons and Drag Queens is premiering exclusively on the Dropout streaming service on Wednesday, June 28th, with the series’ first episode also being made available for free on YouTube!

In this season of Dimension 20, four questing Queens will embark on an otherworldly journey, descending into the depths of the underworld with sass, style, and sorcery that challenges everyone they encounter. Through fierce undead battles, fumbling encounters with mythical creatures, and heartfelt moments of self-discovery, these queens leave an indelible mark on the underworld, weaving a tale of empowerment, acceptance, and the transformative power of drag!

I am so freaking excited!

Dimension 20 is part of the Dropout.tv lineup, a prominent series within the expanding realm of tabletop RPG content, has garnered increasing recognition from a global audience. The upcoming season will be helmed by Brennan Lee Mulligan (he/him), the creator and Game Master of Dimension 20. Mulligan previously served as Game Master for Dimension 20: A Crown of Candy, Dimension 20: Neverafter, Dimension 20: Fantasy High, and Exandria Unlimited: Calamity for Critical Role.

The cast will also include some of my all-time favorite queens including none other than Bob the Drag Queen (he/him/she/her) also known as their alter ego of non-binary comic/actor Caldwell Tidicue, a champion of confidence and loving one’s self. We will also get to see Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 roll dice! You know that is going to be a good time. The mistress of matchmaking, Jujubee will be at the table, and rounding out the party is singer,  host, and entertainment powerhouse Monét X Change!

This table is sure to be one hell of a party!

Until next time, I have never wanted to be a guest on an actual play TTRPG show more than I do right now. This looks so amazingly fun! I am going into this show dice bag first!
