During the RGG Summit, the developers at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio were able to show off some of Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Classic Yakuza protagonist Kazuma Kiryu returns, under the secret identity of “Joryu”, on a mission to ensure his loved ones continue to enjoy their peaceful lives. Though Kiryu’s older, his brawler style remains, now perfected and ensuring he’s more dangerous than ever.
However, Kiryu was never able to stick to one fighting style in his older games, and the same is true here. He also appears with the powerful Agent style, a secret martial arts that comes with some cool gadgets to deal with enemies, like net traps, drones, and explosives.
Other information revealed during the summit included information on the cities Kiryu would be visiting on this mission, including Sotenbori from earlier games, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon 7’s Ijincho.
Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name releases November 9th for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Windows, and Steam.
