Nintendo Reveals Remake Of SNES Classic ‘Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars’

Nintendo has announced a remake of their 1996 classic, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Rumored to be appearing at their recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed its existence alongside a November release date. Remakes and remasters have been all the rage recently, with multiple publishers getting in on the action, including Nintendo with Metroid Prime Remastered earlier this year.
Once again Mario teams up with Peach, Mallow, Geno, and even his old nemesis Bowser to recover all the pieces of the Star Road. While only two minutes of footage is shown in the trailer, for now we’re aware that Super Mario RPG has been remade from the ground up, right down to getting new music from the original composer, Yoko Shimomura. For now it seems rest of the game seems to have remained unchanged, right down to retaining the classic turn-based combat and timed attack system. As to whether the game has retained its charming script, or if they’ve added voice acting, that remains to be seen.
Super Mario RPG Remake launches November 17th.
