Spectrum Is Green Once More – Time Bomb Comics Returns With ‘Spectrum: The Worlds Of Gerry Anderson’ #2

Following on from 2022’s first issue, Time Bomb Comics and Anderson Entertainment bring you even more tales of Captain Scarlet, Space Precinct, and Terrahawks in Spectrum #2.
The second volume of the Spectrum anthology comes with all new stories from largely returning creative teams in a 44-page issue, featuring the same Gerry Anderson titles as #1: New Captain Scarlet, Space Precinct, and Terrahawks – all in time for Terrahawks’ 40th anniversary in October 2023. (And again, some random anniversary makes me feel as old as the hills. I can still remember Terrahawks starting as a youngster – I swear it was no more than 20 years ago.)
Surely there’s no need to go over the importance of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s work in television from the 1960s to the ’90s? Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Stingray, UFO, all of them and more huge successes on British TV. And then there was Captain Scarlet of course, perhaps second only to Thunderbirds in terms of popularity.
Strips in Spectrum begin with Captain Scarlet by Steve Tanner (writer), Pete Woods (art) John Charles (colours), and James Grey (letters). There’s more Space Precinct by Richmond A. Clements (writer) and James Grey (art and lettering); and Dan Whitehead (writer), Ste Pickford & Gary Crutchley (artists), Owen Watts (colours), and James Grey (lettering) provide you with Terrahawks. And as you’ve seen, the cover is by Steve Pugh.
