Midweek holidays throw everything into a weird space. There is no more useless workday in the US than Monday, the 3rd of July. The whole day is spent counting down the minutes until you can jump on your horse and ride. Tuesday’s split between celebrating in your own way and avoiding people celebrating in theirs. Wednesday ends up being a recovery day. Thursday is a travel day to get back home… You see where this is headed.
