Bandai-Namco Brings The 23rd World Tournament To ‘Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’
by Sage Ashford
Bandai-Namco continues to dodge making a Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot sequel by adding more DLC to the original game. They’ve already successfully added most of the storyline of Dragon Ball Super, now they’re adding parts of the original Dragon Ball. The latest DLC introduces the “Piccolo Jr.” or “23rd World Martial Arts Tournament”, and Bandai-Namco’s showing it off in a trailer dubbed “Ground Battle”.
The DLC looks to add the entire World Tournament, meaning key battles from the last Dragon Ball arc like Tien vs. Master Tao, Goku vs. Tien, and more are making their way into the game. Since this is much earlier in the series though, most of the characters will be “grounded” as they don’t seem to have learned flight, meaning combat will be receiving a bit of a shake-up.
“The 23rd World Tournament” DLC has no release date yet, but already rumors from reliable sources are already talking about a follow-up DLC based on the End of Z. Could more of Dragon Ball be far behind?
