Gen Con ’23: Late Pledges Still Available For ‘The Walking Dead Universe’ TTRPG

Through some twisted sense of self-torture, I found myself watching The Walking Dead and its associated spin-offs around the time that lockdowns from COVID started. I have watched almost everything that is out there on Netflix, Hulu, and the AMC channel on Amazon Prime at this point . Honestly, I think a big part of my sanity staying in one piece came from being able to just put those shows on and let them play in the background, creating a familiar and predictable background sound that I was missing from no-longer being in a very loud and chaotic office setting.

Yes, mumbling undead and screaming survivors was very much what my corporate office life felt like.

All of this is to tell you that The Walking Dead franchise has a soft spot in my heart because I leaned on the show for familiarity and comfort in those early worrying times.

The delightful folks at Free League have announced that there are still Late Pledges available for The Walking Dead TTRPG.

In The Walking Dead TTRPG you can explore an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic world, where you must learn to survive and thrive while those who have died try and add you to their ranks or their dinner plates or both!

The game raised close to $600k and unlocked 18 stretch goals during the successful Kickstarter campaign. All backers, including late backers, get early access to PDF version of the game ahead of the official release later this year.
