‘Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’ Reveals Story And Side Activities In New Trailer

by Sage Ashford

Kiryu makes his grand return to the Yakuza universe in November with Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA have released a new Gameplay Overview trailer. The new title is meant to take place between Yakuza: Like A Dragon  and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and sees Kiryu forcefully dragged back into the underworld for yet another mission.

The gameplay overview trailer shows off a significant amount of the game’s story, showing exactly what brings Kiryu back into action and the state of the tenuous Omi Alliance. There’s also glimpses of some of Like A Dragon‘s traditional minigames, from arcade games to minicar racing. The hostess club also makes a return, this time with a focus on live action hostesses. Perhaps most interesting though is the appearance of customizable clothing for Kiryu, a seeming first in franchise history.

One last major surprise though is players who buy Like A Dragon Gaiden will also receive a demo for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the next mainline title.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name releases for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and PC on November 9th.
