Square Enix Has A Countdown To Launch For ‘Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis’

In “why isn’t this just a console game” news, Square Enix has revealed the latest trailer for their upcoming mobile title, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. For fans who weren’t already aware of this game, basically the entire Final Fantasy VII story is being retold through chapters, starting with the base Final Fantasy VII title and the prequel game Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
What sets this remake apart from the other title aside from adhering closely to the original story, is this game uses more retro-style graphics that feel reminiscent of the classic game. Considering how many people want exactly this game, it’s strange Square-Enix chose to make it for mobile only. Still, if it has decent monetization perhaps it won’t be too bad.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis releases on Android and iOS on September 7th.
