Free Leagues ‘Moria: Through The Doors Of Durin’ TTRPG Funded In Four Minutes

There is no denying that Free League is an absolute powerhouse in the TTRPG space. From the classic Dragonbane recently given new life and an English translation to the mindbending show inspiring Tales from the Loop, to Nordic horror inspired Vaesen and the wildly popular Mörk Borg Free League continues to show that they can deliver time and time again on original titles and IP branded TTRPG projects.
One of the most well-known and respected of the TTRPG IPs that Free League controls is that of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s One Ring.
How cool was that! Free League Publishing launched Moria: Through the Doors of Durin and it was funded within the first four minutes. That is one hell of an accomplishment and there are still many days to go on the campaign. You can check it out at this link.
This epic campaign expansion delves into the depths of Khazad-dûm for the multiple award-winning second edition of The One Ring TTRPG. This compendium will also be created in a version for the 5E edition The Lord of the Rings TTRPG, under the title Moria: Shadow of Khazad-dûm. The highly anticipated campaign module was funded in just 4 minutes and has already raised more than 100,000 USD during the first 30 minutes!
Moria: Through the Doors of Durin includes:
- And At The Gates, The Trumpets Rang: Rivals, allies and patrons in the quest for Moria, as well as a history of the Dwarven city from its founding to its fall.
- Journeys in the Dark: Journey rules adjusted for underground exploration, Moria-specific Undertakings, and advice on running games and campaigns set in the city.
- Fell Foes lists the Orcs and other enemies that may be found in the city – and rules for risking an encounter with Durin’s Bane.
- The Mansions of the Dwarves is the largest part of the book, describing Landmarks and hazards in the various regions of Moria.
The One Ring books are always stuffed with the most amazing art really capturing the feel of Middle Earth and the rich lore that inspired countless other fantasy stories and worlds. I can never speak highly enough of the quality of Free League TTRPG books, they always feel like something that could live both on the coffee table to enjoy for the visual feast that is always present or as part of a gamer library of rulebooks and system settings. I have never been disappointed with a book that Free League has put out and that is really saying something, when you consider the vast library they have under their umbrella.
