Mauricio Martínez To Headline At New York’s 54 Below In October

What If is more than a Marvel comic book series and popular animated show on Disney+. It turns out it’s also a musical by Mauricio Martínez, who is headlining a show in New York’s 54 Below next month.
Martínez, a Emmy Award winner and Mexican star of theatre, music and television, will debut 5’11”, Based in NYC October 5 and 6. The show sorts through songs of what might have been from his musical What If… The electric night of musical theatre features special guests Alexis Michelle from Drag Race and Bad Cinderella’s Linedy Genao as well as a band led by musical director Brian J. Nash.
“I’ve always dreamt of having a live album and now that dream is about to come true,” Martínez said. “I’m so excited to be back at 54 Below to record my first-ever live album, directly from New York.”
Martínez starred first on Broadway then in a national tour as Emilio Estefan in On Your Feet! He also starred in the Netflix series El Vato and has recorded two Latin pop albums.
