Review Roundup: All Our Comics Reviews From Last Week

by Brendan M. Allen

There are some who would say that Spooky Season starts on July 5th. I wouldn’t go quite that far, but here we are in mid-September, and Spooky Season vibes are definitely beginning to simmer. Twelve foot skeletons have appeared and subsequently disappeared from big box hardware stores, and abandoned strip malls are starting to fly big orange banners announcing there are only 44 days until Halloween. The best thing about this season, though? Horror comics are about to pop up EVERYWHERE. So many comics. So much horror.

We’re not quite there yet, though. In the meantime, here are the reviews of mostly non-horror comics we pulled this week.

Scott Redmond led the pack this week with half a dozen reviews:

  1. Immortal X-Men #15, Marvel, 9
  2. Untold Tales Of I Hate Fairyland #3, Image, 9
  3. Poison Ivy #14, DC, 9.5
  4. Black Panther #4, DC, 9
  5. Firefly: The Fall Guys #1, BOOM! Studios
  6. Scarlet Witch #8, Marvel, 9

Nipping at his heels came Tom Smithyman with five of his own:
