I could give you some lead-in or a story, but this emotional trailer for Dropout‘s new Dimension 20 series is nothing short of magical. I give you the trailer for Dimension 20: Burrows End

I got choked up watching that. It’s got adventure beats, emotional stakes, and some amazing visuals. The talent coming to the table for this story is some of the best to roll dice in the actual play space as well.

Weaving this story from behind the screen is the Game Master Aabria Iyengar. This will mark the 3rd time Aabria has served as Game Master, after the popular entries Misfits & Magic and last year’s A Court of Fey & Flowers. Aabria was most recently seen on Dimension 20 as a player in the event series The Ravening War, and can also be found on the popular audio storytelling podcast, Worlds Beyond Number.

Among the players this go around is the always delightful Brennan Lee Mulligan. Brennan is the creator of Dimension 20 and a frequent Game Master for the series. He returns as a player, his 3rd time for Game Master Aabria Iyengar and 4th time for Dimension 20 overall. He’ll be playing Jaysohn and Lila’s mother, Tula.

We will also see Isabella Roland at the table. Isabella returns to the dome, having participated as a player in previous seasons, The Seven and Coffin Run. She plays Lila, Tula’s daughter and Jaysohn’s sister.

Siobhan Thompson, who is a Dimension 20 core cast member, is returning from her first non-core cast season, Mentopolis. She plays Jaysohn, Tula’s son and Lila’s brother.

Erika Ishii will be returning for their 5th season of Dimension 20, having previously been a player in Escape From the Bloodkeep, Misfits & Magic, The Seven, and Coffin Run. They play Ava, matriarch of the stoat family, and mother to Tula and Viola.

Rashawn Nadine Scott is making her Dimension 20 debut after numerous appearances on other Dropout programs, like Game Changer, Play It By Ear, and Make Some Noise. She plays Viola, sister to Tula and wife to Thorn Vale.

Jasper William Cartwright will also be making his Dimension 20 debut after years of success on his TTRPG-focused podcast, 3 Black Halflings. Jasper plays Thorn Vale, leader of the Lukura and husband to Viola.

Premiering exclusively on Dropout on Wednesday, October 4th, this season’s first episode will also be made available for free on YouTube on Wednesday, October 11th, and will focus on the Blue Forest, where a family of stoats resides. The family – matriarch Ava, adult sisters Tula and Viola, Viola’s husband Thorn Vale, and Tula’s children Jaysohn and Lila – have found a peaceful life for themselves in and around their warren. But dangers natural and unnatural approach, forcing each member of the family to re-evaluate their lives, the world around them, and what it means to survive in this dark, twisted, heartfelt story of sacrifice and love.

I’m all in on this one and can’t wait for it to get started.
