Luigi Mode is an underground comic created by James Harvey (Doom Patrol). The three issue mini-series follows the life of Marcus Miskin, a geek with high ambitions and low self-esteem, who makes a Faustian bargain with a certain video game icon.
In this politically turbulent climate, Underground Comix are harder to create now more than ever. It takes an in depth knowledge of art history and creativity to transcend the high and lowbrow and make something that feels both Pop and personal. Luigi Mode is the outlaw comic for a new generation. It’s the perfect subversive story for those who grew up on Nintendo games and live under the threat of populist totalitarianism.
