Halloween Kids’ Batula Figure Is A Treat For Any Collector

The Children of the Night, what beautiful music they make. I’m writing this to you as Trick or Treat plays in the background and I get warm and cozy in this most joyous of holiday seasons. I was not born in the golden age of plastic Halloween masks. Those air-formed, crudely painted, cut-your-tongue-on-the-mouth-holes-if-they-even-had-one plastic face coverings are iconic in most movies and media, and instantly transport you back to the autumnal streets of the 70s and early 80s where tricks and treats and all manner of creatures existed.
I think I romanticized that time when we were less connected to each other by a bajillion social media platforms and cell phones and such. Not all year mind you. I love my tech and having a supercomputer in my pocket and a constant way to communicate is rad, but this time of year, I get nostalgic for simpler times when the glow of the jack-o-lantern warms the house and the air starts to get crisp… at least in my part of the world.
Super7 has a rad offering with their Halloween Kids Batula Boy ReAction Figure. From his crimson socks to his Batula mask this kid is clearly ready to Trick and/or Treat with the best of them. What I dig about this is it really does feel like they just made a cool figure of a kid in a costume, and at the same time this Batula Mask could totally be some haunted horror head that will bite the hand that feeds so to speak, or worse be knocked off only to uncover something far worse.
The box is also stunning and holds this articulated, 3.75” scale Halloween Kids ReAction Figure along with his candy bag accessory with the Mummy Boy scrawled on the side of it. If Super7 was trying to hit that classic 70s and 80s vintage vibe they nailed it across the board here.
