NYCC 2023: Mary Jane Goes Hero In Marvel’s ‘Jackpot’

In the Dark Web event, Mary Jane Watson, one of the most well-connect civilians in superhero comics, gained superpowers for the first time in her long history (at least in the Prime Marvel Universe). Announced today at New York Comic Con, as a part of Marvel’s upcoming Gang War event, she debuts her superhero identity as Jackpot!
Coming from writer Celeste Bronfman, artist Joey Vasquez, and cover artist Pablo Villalobos this special one-shot will see MJ putting on a costume and becoming a hero of her own. MJ is probably one of the richest supporting characters out there, so it’ll be interesting to see her journey continue into heroism on her own.
