‘Immortals Of Aveum’ Announces Echollector Update For November 16

by Erik Amaya

Immortals of Aveum continues to fight the good fight within its story and in the larger landscape of video games. As proof, developer Ascendant Studios has announced its largest update to date: the Echollector Update. Besides additional content, gear, and lore in The Echollector story itself, the update will introduce a New Game+ mode and “Grand Magnus” difficulty.

In The Echollector, the new endgame objective, “the events of the Everwar left the Path weak, scattering chunks of the consciouscape across Aveum and creating corrupted Shatterfanes – portals to new, undiscovered areas. Jak must rid Aveum of these Shatterfanes and put a stop to whatever malevolent forces are siphoning away the Path’s power in a new boss fight. The Shatterfanes will automatically be available upon reaching Glaivegate, giving you the chance to take on this new challenge.” Players will also discover more lore and new gear as they aid Jak in this new mission.

The New Game+ mode will allow players to bring most of their abilities and spells — minus the Augment spells — into a new runthrough with the added opportunity to upgrade Epic and Legendary gear to higher levels and take on “updated fights.”

Lastly, the Grand Magus mode will allow truly dedicated players the chance to face every battle as fight for survival. According to the developer, you will “push your way through the Everwar and forge yourself into an Immortal worthy of the name.” It unlocks with the start of a New Game+ save.

To celebrate the Echollector update, Immortals of Aveum will be offering a free trial on consoles with a PC trial becoming available later in November.

Immortals of Aveum is live now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
