Based on James Clavell’s novel, FX’s Shogun is set in Japan circa 1600 CE — the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him and a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village. The series stars Hiroyuki Sanada (John Wick: Chapter 4), Cosmo Jarvis (Peaky Blinders), and Anna Sawai (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters). The production values, action, and atmosphere look absolutely superb.
Shogun will becoming to FX and Hulu in 2024.
