Dueling Card Game ‘Primal Showdown’ Heads To Kickstarter In 2024

Sandstorm Comics and Cation Arts will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign to produce a new dueling card game called Primal Showdown.
Primal Showdown will include drafting, rock-paper-scissors, bluffing, dice rolling, and a bit of strategy in a game that can be played in less than 5 minutes. The cards include over 25 unique characters, designed by Saroush Bazaresh, while Mohamed Alqadi is co-developing the game.
“With Primal Showdown we were able to combine Mohammed’s ideas and work with the incredible artistic vision of the super talented Saroush Bazeresh to create something that stands alone on its artistic merit, but is also competitive and entertaining,” said Sandstorm chief Mo Abedin. “We can’t wait to share it with everyone!”
Sandstorm and Cation will debut the game during the Storm the Block event taking place on December 8-10, 2023, in Abu Dhabi. Attendees can register for a tournament on the event’s final day.
“Not only do we have a fun, exciting game where you can duel with your friends in an action-packed nail-biting five minutes or less, but this game’s stunning artwork and storytelling are simply breathtaking,” Alqadi said.
