‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Gets Ready For One Last Fight In New Trailer
by Erik Amaya
Star Wars: The Bad Batch has one last mission to perform and, if this trailer is to be believed, it gets to the heart of Emperor Sheev Palpatine’s (Ian McDiarmid) long-terms goals. For Squad 99, it’s a rescue op. Omega (Michelle Ang) is still being held at Mount Tantiss with Crosshair (Dee Bradley Baker) and a growing number of clones from the Kamino facility. The team must devised a way to get her out. But considering Rex’s (also Baker) comments, it sounds like the free clones will engineer a prison break for all their brothers.
Oh, also, Asajj Ventress is back.
The series has been a consistent winner in terms of animation and Star Wars storytelling. So we are sad to know its third season will also be its last. At the same time, we’re hoping the crew behind The Bad Batch will continue to tell animated stories in the Star Wars universe with this level of care and craft.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch begins its final season with three episodes on February 21st on Disney+. The remainder of the series will premiere weekly (with a few two-part episodes debuting together) though May 1st.
