Zdarsky & Acuna’s ‘Avengers: Twilight’ #1 Scores Second Printing

by Tony Thornley

Dark futures are a dime a dozen in comics, but Avengers: Twilight is ready to offer something different and timely. The first issue of the series has already resonated with audiences, leading to a second printing announced after less than a week.

Avengers Twilight found Steve Rogers — drained of the super-soldier serum — as the last bastion against a fascist government. It’s a take we’ve seen before with other heroes, but with Captain America in the lead role, it’ll be interesting to watch it take shape.

The second printing will be available February 28, 2024, and uses Acuna’s poster art as the new cover. The scifi take on Captain America and the Avengers already looks like it has the potential to be iconic.

“This book has been years in the making and I’m overjoyed that everyone’s finally getting to experience this gorgeous world that Daniel has illustrated! And I’m over the moon that readers love reading the adventures of senior citizens as much as I love writing them!” Zdarsky shared.
