‘ThunderCats’ #2 Crosses 82,000 Copies In Final Order Cutoff

by Erik Amaya

The success of ThunderCats continues.

Dynamite announced on Tuesday that the second issue received orders in excess of 82,000 copies during the final order cutoff last week. The issue will see the debut of Calica, a new Thunderian to the mythos who may or may not end up a ThunderCat. She may also be a potential love interest for Lion-O, but as their fates on Third Earth are still up in the air, love may be the last thing on any Cat’s mind at the moment. Meanwhile, troubles continue to mount as the Mutants meet Mumm-Ra.

The issue will supported with covers from David Nakayama, Lucio Parrillo, Jae Lee, Ivan Tao, and Rob Liefeld. Additionally, series writer Declan Shalvey will supply two covers — one featuring Calica — while artist Drew Moss also designs a cover all his own. Check them out in the gallery below.

ThunderCats #2 hits stores on March 13th alongside a second printing of the premiere issue.
