The Most Gonzo Action Film Of The Year: ‘Boy Kills World’

During the height of John Wick’s popularity, action revenge films followed a standard template. As we enter a new era, I’m glad that newer action films are willing to shake up the formula. Boy Kills World appears to be prime example of a gonzo action film with a bizarre tonality and a unique world. The plot sounds like it was scrawled into some kid’s journal while they were board during math class– and I mean that in the best way possible. I hope Boy Kills World does well and encourages more action films to break the mold.
