Streaming and Screaming: ‘Strip Nude for Your Killer’

Who says you can’t enjoy Halloween all year round? Streaming and Screaming is where we give horror recommendations for scaredy cats old and new.
Giallo cinema is known for it aestheticization of sex and violence by utilizing avant garde filmmaking techniques. I’ve covered many of the films by Dario Argento and I’ve found the best Giallo to be even more compelling than many contemporary horror films and HBO dramas.
Strip Nude for Your Killer, directed by Andrea Bianchi, may be the best Giallo film I’ve seen since Deep Red. The film follows a killer in an BDSM Power Rangers-styled biker outfit as they slash their way through members of a prestigious fashion house. The film is like burlesque photo-shoot and a murder mystery all rolled into one. Even the clearly dated elements in the film have campy sense of charm. I would encourage film students and horror enthusiasts should slice into this deep-cut Giallo classic.
