Sometimes we need a jolt to expand our music tastes. So open your ears to some Mind-Blowing music!
HANABIE is best described as an assault on the senses. What starts are a bunch of Kawaii girls singing and dancing suddenly shifts into heavy metal vocalizations. I can only imagine a bunch of parents shaking their heads and saying “Is this what the kids are into?”
The band is self-described as “Harajuku-core” which incorporates Japanese street fashion with elements of metalcore, hardcore punk, nu-metal, hip hop, and electronica. It’s a blast to see a bunch of anime and game nerds singing their hearts out.
