DC Comics Announces This Year’s Plans To Celebrates Pride Month 2024

Once again DC Comics is turning the spotlight on the LGBTQIA+ community and creators with its plans to celebrate Pride Month 2024 this June. Returning for another year is its anthology one-shot, DC Pride 2024 #1, out on May 28th, 2024 and featuring many different queer contributors. As well as this one-shot, there will also be YA graphic novel, Bad Dream: A Dreamer Story (April 2nd), tribute comic DC Pride: A Celebration of Rachel Pollack (out on June 6th), gallery comic DC Pride: Uncovered (June 11th) and YA graphic novels The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley (September 3rd).

Plus, there will be the usual variant covers produced especially for DC Comics titles available across the month of June.

This year’s DC Pride anthology takes travelogues as its theme, but with a twist; this is a universe-spanning travelogue featuring some of DC’s most notable queer characters and travelling to some of DC’s more far out destinations such as the Phantom Zone, Jack Kirby’s Fourth World, and beyond.

Flagship title, DC Pride 2024 #1, is a 104-page Prestige format comic featuring a main cover by Kevin Wada, an open-to-order wraparound variant cover by David Talaski, foil and card stock variants by Babs Tarr, and Wada’s main cover offered as a 1:25 card stock variant.

You can catch stories and strips by Phil Jimenez, who will be producing a personal tale about the fantastical worlds that shaped him, with art by Giulio Macaione, Nicole Maines and Jordan Gibson recount the story of Dreamer’s first-time pilgrimage to her ancestral planet, Naltor, and more. DC Pride: A Celebration of Rachel Pollack #1

Bad Dream: A Dreamer Story
