Biblical Comedy ‘The Book of Clarence’ Shall Rise Again On Blu-ray And DVD

After forty days and forty nights in theaters (give or take), The Book of Clarence will soon arrive on Blu-ray and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
From writer-director Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall), The Book of Clarence puts a modern comic spin on the starry Hollywood Biblical epics of yore (The Ten Commandments, The King of Kings, and so many more). In 33 A.D. Jerusalem, downtrodden Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) is struggling to erase his debts and make a better name for himself and his family. When he witnesses the rise of a local prophet named Jesus Christ, Clarence decides to declare himself the new Messiah and attempt to carve his own divine path.
Produced by Jay-Z, the film also stars Omar Sy, David Oyelowo, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Blu-ray, DVD, and digital extras include an audio commentary with Samuel and Stanfield, a gag reel, and three featurettes taking viewers behind the scenes. The Blu-ray and DVD versions also include deleted scenes.
The Book of Clarence will be available on Blu-ray and DVD March 26th, and is already available to rent or own digitally.
