Luc Besson’s ‘La Femme Nikita’ Makes Its 4K Debut In June

Before he introduced audiences to Leon: The Professional and went really weird with the space opera The Fifth Element, French director Luc Besson made a name for himself with the stylized ’80s actioner La Femme Nikita. The film is making its 4K debut in a limited steelbook dropping on June 11th.
The plot is simple: A dead-end criminal named Nikita (Anne Parillaud, not to be confused with those other Femmes Nikita, Peta Wilson and Maggie Q) is recruited by a mysterious agency and remade into a sleek, sexy assassin. But on a deadly mission, her past catches up to her, and her personal feelings put her in danger. The film also stars Jeanne Moreau, and Jean Reno.
La Femme Nikita has been restored from the original camera negative and presented in 4K resolution and Dolby Vision for the first time. Sadly, there are no bonus features and no Blu-ray is included. Nevertheless, it arrives June 11th.
