Things To Do Outside Of London If You Like Comics: Shrewsbury Comic Con

This Saturday 6th April sees the first new comic con of the season open up for business in the beautiful market town of Shrewsbury here in the UK. The Shrewsbury Comic Con takes place at the Shrewsbury Town Football Stadium where fans can meet the likes of Mike Perkins (The Batman: First Knight #1), John Wagner (Co-creator of Judge Dredd) and Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead) as well as starts from TV and film such as Red Dwarf’s Hattie Hayridge.
As well as the usual array of vendors selling comic book and pop culture merch, there’s a cosplay competition which you can sign up for on the day.
Open from 10am till 4pm there are still some tickets available which you can buy here. But ahead of that on the Friday night (5th April) there will be a launch partywhere fans can wine and dine with guests of the show in local gamer cafe, Nerdy. with music from Cosmic Rays, the band Adlard plays drums in.
