WonderCon 2024: McFarlane Toys Celebrates 30 Years With Exciting Selection Of New Collectibles

WonderCon 2024 was blessed by the presence of comic royalty in Todd McFarlane. Although he wasn’t there to talk comics, but to reveal the upcoming products McFarlane Toys has lined up in the future. At least that included many comic related action figures.

First up was the next wave from the McFarlane’s Sports Picks baseball line out this May. It features a new generation of stars. Also, for the collectors, there are chase figures in alternative uniforms.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of McFarlane toys so the company wanted to lean into the older brands to celebrate. They have new Movie Maniac collectibles from the Rocky franchise, several comedy films, and The Matrix.

The vast majority of the panel centered on toys from DC Comics. If you’re interested in deep cuts, Ambush Bug will be making his debut in the DC Multiverse line and he comes with Cheeks the Toy Wonder.

For store exclusives, you can hit up Walmart for the upcoming Nightwing (DC vs Vampires) and Wally West figures, Target for The Rival and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) figures, and Amazon for the Green Lantern two-pack of Kyle Rayner and Kilowog.

With regards to DC chase figures, there are Manhunter, Reverse Flash (New-52) and Sportsmaster. Elsewhere, there is a new Build-a-Figure wave featuring Plastic Man. He comes with pieces that make him elongated or normal, depending on your preference.

There are also new toys from the various Batman films. There is a Batman Forever line with Man-Bat as the Build-a-Figure and the Tumbler with Lucius Fox.

The McFarlane Collector Edition line has some interesting selections including Batman (manga) and Sgt. Rock.

McFarlane Toys also does digital collectibles. If you like the retro aesthetic, the Super Powers line has you covered. There are even two new vehicles: Brainiac’s Skull Ship and The Bug Ship.

Higher end collectors might enjoy the ultra detailed resin statues based off of popular comic artists designs.

There are some exciting Batman: The Animated Series toys including the first figure of Bruce Wayne and the Joke Mobile.

Arriving this summer is a wave for the Music Maniacs line that feature Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Eddie (Iron Maiden), and Rob Zombie.

Then, McFarlane Toys would’t exist if it weren’t for Spawn. There are some great picks from Todd McFarlane’s popular creator owned comic including a two-pack with the man himself. The other figure is the first design of Spawn that the artist drew when he was 16.
