‘Strange Academy: Blood Hunt’ #1 Preview Sends The Kids On A Scavenger Hunt From Hell

The Blood Hunt is nearly here and nowhere in the Marvel Universe is safe. That includes Strange Academy!
From writer Daniel Jose Older and artist Luigi Zagaria, this Blood Hunt tie-in miniseries finds a group of Academy students in the middle of a day out when the vampire invasion strikes New Orleans! It’s going to be up to Doyle Dormmamu, Zoe Laveau, Shaylee Moonpeddle, German Aguilar, and Toth to find one of their most potent weapons against the vampires- the Darkhold! Unfortunately for them, the powerful artifact has been transformed into a teenage human by their former teacher Agatha Harkness, and that’s just the beginning of the trouble they’re about to face.
I haven’t read much of Strange Academy, but the set-up here is a lot of fun. An added bonus is that this story has a lot of DNA shared Older’s dark urban fantasy trilogy, Bone Street Rumba.
